After deciding to move with Jesse to California in mid 2004, Jesse and I had a few unexpected things arise. The primary problem was that we got pregnant so early into our relationship, and right after we moved clear across the country! Once we came to grips with what was going on, we went ahead full force into the life of parenting. Aiden has been such n incredible addition to our lives, and I cant imagine ife without him. I entered the wedding contest in June of 2005, with high hopes but realisitic expectations. I know we have a good story and are just good people, but as we all know, that doesnt always get you what you need. Let me tell you, I was crushed when we werent the 1st choice winners for the contest. The contest ended jan 31, 2006, and the winners were supposed to be posted to the website on or around Valentines Day. I kept checking every couple of hours after the date passed 2-14, hoping to see our picture on the main page. And then the original couple picked to win was posted. My heart broke in 2,as this was the only contest of its kind that I had ever seen, and it was a way for us to get married. Needless to say, life had to go on. I got the call from Lisa while I was picking up a fish at a local Petco. I seriously thought she was kidding for the 1st few minutes. After the shock of actually winning wore off, it's like a weight was lifted off of our shoulders. Let me tell you, I have NO problems being 2nd place....we got the prizes, right? So now we are getting married on August 10 in Oahu. Crazy, all of this is, I must say. I guess good things do happen to good people, and for it, I am so happy! |
